This weekend provided for some good old fashion erector set fun. The 80/20 Frame jig is coming together well. It started with an admiration for the Henry James and Anvil Bikes frame jigs, but not the budget to afford them. So out of lots of internet searches and other inspired frame jig designers arises the JBX Bike Frame JiG beta edition.

Co-Founders  Loren Jandl Baker and BJ Baker got together at the first of August and had a little fun while getting down to the business of getting JBX off the ground. We evaluated the competition with some premium rental bikes and tries our hand at both lift served and true cross country riding.

    Jandl Baker Xtreme

Founded by Loren Jandl Baker and Bobby J Baker – son and father respectively. Jandl is a family name meaning friendly in the ancient Germanic dialects of the eastern Austrian Alps. Baker is a rare English name given to the nobility… Well maybe the dude who made the muffins anyway. There’s some rare blood in there I just know it. Ancestry.com says we’re related to the Plantagenet’s of France and Henry the II of England on my Mom’s side. Also on the mom’s side is some native American Cherokee War Chief blood, so I guess you can say we got some history.

Now the Xtreme part. We like going fast down hill and we want to share that with you.

We stand behind what we sell and what we make.

We plan to build as much as we can right here in the USA. Some products from the begining will be from China and Taiwan, but as soon as we can do it at a reasonable cost right here in the USA we plan to in-source as much as we can.

We are looking forward to doing business with you.

    Co-Founder – JBX

  • Spring TMBRA

The  2012 Spring TMBRA was my first season of racing. I ate too much holiday ham and turkey came in overweight and slow. Finished the first race at Warda 15th and finished the season in 15th overall racing three different bikes during the season. Cat-3 50s-Class The last race, Rocky Hill Bike Ranch, we had some technical difficulties and cat’ed up to Cat 2 just for fun – Slept in! Looking forward to more racing this Fall!

Best finish of the season was the most brutal race. HOT day in Big D. Placed 10th at Big Cedar.

The Team JBX Jackaro Jerseys made it for the last few races.
